Executing the vision of philanthropist, boss and business partner Morgan E. Cline to save and lift his home community up by saving historically significant yet endangered properties and build businesses into them that strengthen the local community.   *  The Continental Hotel and Restaurant:  Saved the historically significant structure from demolition, restored, created apartments for well-elderly/independent living, executive suites, and restaurant.  Still owned and operated by the Cline Companies.  *  The Continental Mews:  Saved the building restoring it into 7 very nice appartments.  Still owned and operated by the Cline Companies.  *  The Shoppes at Bradley Hall:  Saved and restored 10,000 square foot mansion.  Created a business turning the mansion into Iowa's first and largest "mansion mall".  *  The Exline Old Country Store and Antique Exchange:  Built and created the business in the deeply rural old coal mining town of Exline, Iowa.  Mission, create a place of pride and utility for locals to connect, visit and get basic needs as well as make tourism worthy to pull traffic into town giving it a shot at revitalization.  *  The Columns:  Saved and restored this one time landmark creating a smaller version of The Shoppes at Bradley Hall.  Currently for sale.  *  Appliance Discount Depot/Your Square Deal Maytag Home Appliance Center:  In an effort to have two appliance stores on the historic Centerville, Iowa square, created this new appliance business.  Recently sold to local entrepreneur who has expanded it into home furniture.  *  The Continental at St. Joseph's - Assisted Living:  47,000 square foot assisted living designed and built from scratch.  Goal - to stop attrition of seniors who were in need of assisted living and who were relocating to other areas since a local high quality option was not available.  *  The Continental Care Center at Seymour - Skilled Nursing Facility:  Purchased in 2006 to prevent its closing in the small town of Seymour, Iowa. A 45 bed skilled nursing facility which is a primary employer in the deeply rural town of Seymour, Iowa.  Owned and operated by Cline Companies.  *  The Majestic Theater, Lounge and Grand Ballroom:  Purchased after a partical colapse of the vacant building.  Fully restored plus the creation of a lounge to go along with the ballroom.  Owned and operated as part of the Cline Comanies.  *  BCD Holdings, Inc. - A property holding company owning commercial and residential buildings/spaces.  Owned and operated as part of the Cline Companies.  *  Coal Miners Commons:  8 replica coal mining homes built for rental to seniors in the deeply rural town of Exline, Iowa.  Goal - to add to the population and activity of Exline by providing above average quality living quarters at below average rates.  Took posetion of an ill used set of lots and recreated into a center of pride of the community.  Owned and operated as part of the Cline Companies.  *  Ponds and Prairies - a rural housing community of log or log style homes surrounded by prairie and ponds.  Five spec homes built and sold.  7 primary building lots available. Too many other projects to list that include capturing and saving properties, funding local charity and community projects, etc. In addition to serving as Presdient of Cline Companies, I am the founder and president of Commercial Resources, Inc. - a small business accounting and administratives services firm and Bill Burch Holdings, LLC - a property managment and holding company.
